Chelsea have received a €27m (£23m) bid from Como for defender Trevoh Chalobah, but the Blues are demanding €35m (£30m) for the 26-year-old English defender. Meanwhile, Everton are in prime position to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap as they work to agree personal terms with the 23-year-old.

Brighton have submitted a bid worth around €34m (£29m) for Atalanta's 18-year-old Italian defender Honest Ahanor as they look to plug the gap left by the departure of Dutch central defender Jan Paul van Hecke to Tottenham. Real Madrid have joined Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, 19, from RB Leipzig.

Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, who has been linked with a return to the Premier League, has been offered a four-year contract extension to continue as United States coach.
