SC Heerenveen have announced the signing of Darling Bladi, a left-back who arrives from Real Betis. This is the club's first acquisition of the current summer transfer window. Bladi, who during his time in Spain played mostly for Betis' B team, made just one appearance for the main team in the last edition of the Copa del Rey. The French player had a contract until 2027 with the Andalusian club, but has now signed a contract with SC Heerenveen until 2029.

Before joining Real Betis, Bladi played in France, representing clubs such as Bourg-en-Bresse and Saint-Étienne. Last season, he participated in 31 games in Spain. The left-back will now compete for the position with Vasilios Zagaritis, who is being followed by Panathinaikos.

SC Heerenveen technical director Johan Hansma expressed satisfaction with the new signing, stating that "we are very happy to have the left-back position well filled, with a player of great potential. He is a left-footed left-back, physically strong, fast and who contributes both defensively and offensively to the team."
