AZ Alkmaar's Sven Mijnans, 26, has just completed his best season, scoring 21 goals and assisting in a further nine in 50 games across all competitions. His performance attracted interest from three Bundesliga clubs: RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen. However, contrary to some reports coming out of the Netherlands, no formal proposal has yet been made. The player has a €15 million release clause for foreign clubs, and PSV Eindhoven, who recently received a significant financial injection with the sale of Ismael Saibari to Bayern Munich for €50 million, are also in the running. Regarding Leipzig's interest in Mijnans, Philipp Hinze reveals that new coach Martin Demichelis is deeply involved in squad planning for the 2026/27 season. In addition to Mijnans, Leipzig also intend to bring Brajam Gruda back to the club, but would prefer to re-sign the German youth international on loan with an option to buy.
