The defender of the Spanish National Team and Atlético de Madrid, Marcos Llorente, commented on his relationship with his teammate and Barcelona forward, Lamine Yamal. Llorente highlighted that they have been gradually getting to know each other and that Yamal does not need special help, arguing that, sometimes, supporting Yamal in attack can even be counterproductive, as this could bring another defender into the play. "He's the one who changes the course of the game. I share my reflections with Lamine and ask him what he needs. We even communicate during the games. The more we communicate, the better everything goes," Llorente told Mundo Deportivo. The Spanish team advanced to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, finishing in first place in group H with seven points. In the round of 32, they will face the Austrian team.
