Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed, according to the English press, that they have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of Luka Vuskovic. This 19-year-old defender was widely discussed during the Jan Paul van Hecke negotiations, being referred to as the 'cost of the transfer'. According to The Athletic and Sky Sport Deutschland, Brighton and Tottenham have sealed a deal around Vuskovic. The foundations for the deal were laid in talks about Van Hecke, who is on his way to Tottenham for €60m. Vuskovic will cost more than 53 million euros, in addition to more than 4 million in bonuses, and Tottenham guaranteed a percentage of 20% in a future sale. The young Croatian impressed last season in the Bundesliga, where he was on loan at HSV, and is considered one of the greatest defensive talents in the world. Furthermore, he is a strong aerial player and has a good goalscoring record, having scored six times last season. Vuskovic is a graduate of Hajduk Split's academy, where he was loaned out to Radomiak Radom and Westerlo before being acquired by Tottenham in mid-2025 for €11 million.
