Context
Ewa Pajor, who joined Barcelona in June 2024, has a contract that expires at the end of this season. Since her arrival, the Polish striker has been a dominant force in the F League, excelling as a top scorer and contributing to Barcelona Women's success in the Women's Champions League.
Why this matters
Ewa Pajor's renewal is crucial for FC Barcelona as they look to keep their key players in League F. The Pole has been a key player in the team, contributing significantly to the club's recent successes, including winning the Women's Champions League. Pajor's continuity could further reinforce Barcelona's position as one of the main clubs in the F League and on the European scene.
Main conclusions

- Media: FC Barcelona zdecydowała ws. przyszłości Ewy Pajor.
Barcelona has Ewa Pajor at the top of the renewal list and talks to extend the Polish forward's contract are "well underway", according to the Catalan daily Sport. The Polish international has a contract valid until the end of this season and is part of the batch of three dossiers considered priority by the Blaugrana club. In addition to Pajor, Barça is also working on extensions for Patri Guijarro and Esmee Brugts.
Ewa Pajor herself does not hide her desire to remain in Barcelona. «I want to play for Barcelona for many years, because it is a club where I can improve every day», he recently stated in an interview, highlighting the quality of the squad and technical team: «They are people who make us better as a team.»
Remember that Pajor arrived at Barcelona in June 2024, and a three-season agreement was then announced. Since moving to Catalonia, the striker has won major titles with the Blaugrana shirt: the club added two Spanish championships, the Women's Champions League and two Queen's Cups to its history. In individual terms, the Pole had seasons of high performance, having been top scorer in League F and also in the last edition of the Women's Champions League.
The strategic importance of shielding key parts was assumed internally. Marc Vives, Barcelona's sporting director, acknowledged that negotiations are ongoing and are proceeding as planned: «All the players we want to renew are at the stage where they should be. These are negotiations that require time. I can't give dates, but, sooner rather than later, we will be able to extend everything we consider essential for the project», he declared. Sport adds that «there is still work to be done to transform the good environment into three final agreements».
In terms of individual distinctions, Pajor is on the list of 30 nominees for the women's Ballon d'Or. Among the candidates are also several teammates: Esmee Brugts, Cata Coll, Caroline Graham Hansen, Claudia Pina and Patri Guijarro. Inside the Blaugrana locker room, the appreciation is clear. «I think Alexia Putellas or Ewa deserve it. They had a fantastic year and helped us a lot», said Patri Guijarro. In the same vein, Cata Coll argued that it would be “fair” to see one of her colleagues lift the trophy, pointing out Pajor, Putellas or Guijarro herself as strong candidates. Coach Pere Romeu stressed that a Barcelona player “should win the Ballon d'Or” for the level she displayed, her consistency and the team's titles.
For Barcelona, completing the renewal of Ewa Pajor would mean consolidating the offensive axis for the coming years, keeping intact the ambition of continuing to dominate League F and fighting for the revalidation of the European title. Without defined public deadlines, the parties maintain dialogue, but the convergence of interests — club and player want to continue together — suggests a positive outcome for the culés.
What happens next
Negotiations between Barcelona and Ewa Pajor are ongoing and, according to reports, are progressing optimistically. If the parties reach an agreement, Pajor will be able to extend her stay in Barcelona, where she has already won several titles and stood out as a top scorer in League F. The club is also working on renewing Patri Guijarro and Esmee Brugts, which demonstrates its intention to maintain a competitive squad.
