Midfielder Gianluca Gaetano is set to join Atalanta, with negotiations between the club and Cagliari progressing positively. After the last meeting between the parties, a total agreement was reached regarding the player's salary, who is just waiting for a signal to go to Bergamo and undergo medical examinations. According to Sky Sport, there are only a few small differences left to be ironed out between the two clubs. Atalanta's offer is around 11 million euros, with some bonuses being included to get closer to the amount of 15 million demanded by the Sardinian team. Gaetano, born in 2000, is an explicit request from coach Maurizio Sarri, who is looking to reinforce the midfield, especially with the departure of Ederson, currently competing in the World Cup, but who is expected to move to Manchester United.
