The owner of the Karagostar Shabestar club, Ismail Aghazi, showed his support for coach Rostami and the local technical team, denying rumors that the club was considering a change of coach. This statement comes after the team's defeat at home against Qeshm Island, which left Karagostar with just two points in the league table, occupying the penultimate position in the Azadgan League.
Following the game, speculation arose on social media about the possibility of the club's management ending its collaboration with Rostami. However, Aghazi was clear in stating: "The results in the first four rounds of the league were not satisfactory and we, more than anyone, are disappointed with this situation. We expected more from the team and it is natural that these results did not please anyone, including the players, coaching staff and fans."
Aghazi did not hesitate to reinforce his support for Rostami, stating that he had conversations with the coach about the team's conditions and the areas that need to be improved: "I want to be very clear, Rostami is the coach of Karagostar Shabestar and will continue to be. We have confidence in him and his technical team. This support does not depend on the results of one or two games."
The owner also highlighted the importance of continuing the project with the local technical team, reinforcing confidence in their decisions: "We believe in our choice. Rostami managed to keep the team in League 1 last season, even in difficult conditions, and this year he continues to have the club's full trust. It is clear that the results have to improve and both Rostami and his team are aware of this, but we will not make hasty decisions based on isolated results."
Aghazi also spoke about the club's economic situation, clarifying that Karagostar is managed with personal investment and does not depend on state resources. He stated: "The club's costs are borne personally, and more than anyone else, I am sensitive to the team's results. It is normal for there to be criticism, and we accept constructive criticism, but some opinions that have emerged, especially after the defeat in the first round against Saipa, do not concern us. We know what the position and intention of some people are and this will not affect the management's decisions."
The owner concluded by asking football fans in the Azerbaijan region to remain behind the team: "We are as disappointed as you are, but we believe that this team has the potential to recover. Our support for Rostami and his technical team is total and we hope that everyone will work together with more focus and unity to improve results in the coming rounds. The league is long and we still have a lot of time to recover, and we have faith in the ability of the players and the technical team."
