Southampton have announced that Daniel Peretz has signed a permanent contract with Bayern Munich following a successful loan spell. The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Championship side, who reached the FA Cup semi-finals in 2025-26 before being expelled from the play-off final due to spying on their semi-final opponents Middlesbrough. After initially being loaned to Hamburg, where he played just two DFB-Pokal matches, Peretz joined Southampton in January on a short-term loan. Since their first league game, only Ivor Pandur (75), Egil Selvik (65) and Radek Vitek (65) have made more saves than the Saints goalkeeper (64), who kept eight clean sheets as the team finished in the play-off positions. "I'm super excited," Peretz told the club's website.
