Rodri and a possible arrival at Real Madrid: "I understand the noise, it will be seen after the World Cup"

The Spanish national team and Manchester City midfielder, Rodrigo Hernández, addressed the media during the Media Day that was held at the Las Rozas Football City, where he commented on various topics, including his future. Regarding Real Madrid, he said: "It's part of football. I'm focused on being a leader in the national team. That's my path. I understand the noise, but I'm not going to dedicate my time to that. You'll see that after the World Cup."

Rodri acknowledged that, compared to 2024, he has less pace, but arrives fresher: "I arrive fresh after a season that, on a personal level, was good, although the team didn't achieve everything they wanted. I have less pace than in 2024, but on the other hand, less game load".

Regarding the favorites for the World Cup, he said: "The favorites are the ones we all have in mind. What is considered a favorite shows up on the field. Labels are of little use. The World Cup is very long and demanding. We have to see how we feel."

Regarding his call-up, he said: "We are very happy and motivated. We all arrived healthy and started to build what will be the World Cup. It is a compliment to be considered favorites, but we have to demonstrate it".
