The chosen one is Jürgen Klopp. Riquelme was adamant in defining the “ideal strategist” to take over the first team at the Santiago Bernabéu. “The coach we want for our project at Real Madrid is Jürgen Klopp”, he stated openly, highlighting the ambition of carrying out a large-scale move to place the prestigious German coach on the Real Madrid bench.
Far from just being a campaign promise, the candidate also detailed the immediate plan that he will move forward with if he gains the confidence of his partners at the polls. “On Monday, if we win the elections, our director, Raúl, will contact Klopp,” assured Riquelme, making it clear that formal negotiations will begin immediately.
