One way to ensure this is to make a significant sale. Mourinho wants a fresh start at the Bernabéu after two disastrous seasons, and the consequence of this could be the departure of one or two familiar faces – and Real Madrid are already preparing for this, already having candidates lined up. According to Diario AS, Real Madrid would be willing to consider offers for French midfielders Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga. Both players are no longer considered non-transferable, with several factors working against them in recent months. In Camavinga's case, he had a very poor 2025-26 season. When not injured, he struggled to find any kind of form, which meant he was often left out of the starting eleven. If Mourinho continues with this approach, it would make sense to capitalize while his value is still high. As for Tchouameni, his dispute with Fede Valverde at the end of last season left his future with an asterisk. The pair have since reconciled, but Real Madrid cannot allow a similar incident to occur in the future, which gives them reason to sell the 26-year-old, especially as he is attracting interest from Chelsea. It will be interesting to see if proposals are made to sell Camavinga or Tchouameni, but at the moment, neither player has a guaranteed place at Real Madrid for next season.
