Arsenal had its first proposal for Jeremy Monga, winger of Leicester City and the England under-19 team, rejected. The 19-year-old is one of the club's long-term targets for the summer. The Gunners are also preparing an offer for 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain and France winger Bradley Barcola.

RB Leipzig also made contact with Everton about Thierno Barry, a 23-year-old striker for the France under-21 team. Real Madrid are looking to continue their reconstruction for the summer by signing a midfielder and a central defender, with Chelsea's 25-year-old Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez as one of the club's highest-rated options.

The Toffees are yet to receive a formal offer for Barry, but if a proposal arrives from Leipzig or any other club, Everton's football leadership group will decide how to proceed. Tottenham are firmly in the running to sign Belgian midfielder Nathan De Cat from Anderlecht, with Manchester United also among the 17-year-old's admirers.

Liverpool have reactivated their interest in 25-year-old Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. The Reds are also looking for a midfielder, a centre-back and a right-back after activating the €40m (£34.5m) release clause of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz.
