The first game of the week saw expansion Denver continue to impress. In an even matchup against a struggling Louisville, Summit showed resilience to secure the victory. After a first half without many opportunities, Denver pressed and managed to score. In the 64th minute, after a counterattack, Yuki Yamamoto received a pass and crossed for Ally Brazier, who managed to score. Louisville almost tied it in the 84th minute, but Abby Smith made a decisive save and secured the victory for Denver.
Banda shines and Orlando defeats Bay
The game started off lively, with both sides scoring in the first ten minutes. Barbra Banda opened the scoring for Orlando after just 4 minutes, but Bay quickly equalized. However, Banda scored twice more in the second half, leading Orlando to victory and increasing their lead in the top scorers table.
Kansas City beats Boston with Chawinga goal
Boston continues to struggle in its rookie season, even though it plays well. Kansas City, however, managed to score with a goal from Temwa Chawinga, which was decisive in the team's victory.
Portland and Utah draw in a thrilling game
In the most anticipated game of the week, Portland hosted Utah. Both teams started the match intensely, with Portland opening the scoring. Utah equalized before halftime and went back ahead, but Portland managed to equalize on the last play of the game, securing a draw.
Washington beats Seattle after return from international duties
Washington controlled the match against Seattle, scoring a free kick by Leicy Santos. Although Seattle managed to equalize before halftime, Washington scored again to secure the victory, now having six wins in their last seven games.
San Diego shines in Chicago
San Diego showed its strength by beating Chicago, which continues to struggle this season. The San Diego team showed no mercy and secured the victory with a goal from Trinity Byars at the end of the match.
Gotham maintains solid defense against Houston
Gotham, returning from the CONCACAF Champions Cup, maintained its stout defense and beat Houston with a goal from Jordynn Dudley. Gotham's defense recorded its seventh clean sheet of the season.
