Jovan Milosevic appears to have reached the limit of his loan situation. A permanent move to Werder Bremen is not in the cards, and Niclas Füllkrug's situation is also being discussed. During an interview with Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport, Milosevic, who did not play in the final rounds of the season, described his experience at the club: "The end of the season was a little complicated for me, as I didn't play in either the 33rd or 34th game."
The young striker, who made a name for himself by scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances for Partizan Belgrade before being loaned to Werder, felt a big difference when moving to Germany: "The atmosphere was different. In Belgrade, he was surrounded by friends and a pleasant atmosphere, but in Bremen, things were different, people didn't look each other in the eye." Werder was going through a serious crisis, with a run of 13 games without a win, which only ended with a goal from Milosevic in a 2-0 victory against Heidenheim.
After a back injury, which sidelined him for several weeks, Milosevic was unable to find his rhythm and said that the situation when he left the club was "strange". He expressed his desire to no longer be loaned out, stating that after three temporary transfers, "it is time for a fresh start, possibly in another country or league".
Meanwhile, Werder does not see him as the solution to the attack and is looking for a new striker. Talks with Füllkrug, who was transferred to West Ham for 27 million euros, have not yet progressed. There are doubts about the viability of the transfer, especially in relation to his salary. Sporting questions also hang in the air: will Füllkrug be able to lead the team in moments of crisis? The future of both players at Werder Bremen remains uncertain.
