Olympique Marseille will have to deal with a heavy sanction imposed by UEFA due to non-compliance with Financial Fair Play rules. The provision was made official by the Clubs' Financial Control Body, which decided to punish the French club with a fine of 10 million euros. The Transalpine team will, however, be able to participate in the 2026-2027 Europa League, but the situation remains under strict observation. UEFA also imposed a kind of trial period: Marseille was sanctioned with a one-year probation and will have to demonstrate that it meets the requirements of the European body. Otherwise, the risk is particularly serious. If the club does not respect the required parameters, it may be excluded from continental competitions in the coming seasons. A decision that represents a warning to French society, which will now have to regularize its accounts and return to being within the parameters imposed by UEFA. For now, the Europa League remains guaranteed, but OM's European future will depend on the club's ability to fulfill the economic obligations established by the control bodies in the coming months.
