Juventus has started work in the transfer market to reinforce its team. There are several open situations, although the feeling is that the Bianconera leadership is behind schedule. One of the priorities identified was the hiring of a new goalkeeper and, for several weeks, the team worked to get Alisson. However, Comolli did not count on Liverpool's position. The Reds, despite the change in technical command, have no intention of giving up the Brazilian goalkeeper. Thus, Juventus found itself caught by surprise, as the French managing director believed he had the player practically secured. Now, the Bianconeros will have to redirect their attention to other options, in search of a goalkeeper with quality, experience and personality, characteristics expressly requested by Spalletti.
In the last few hours, Juventus drew up a short list of goalkeepers to identify who could take the place of Michele Di Gregorio, who is still on the way out. The name that most intrigues the board is Emiliano Martinez. El Dibu, in fact, has that something extra in terms of character and personality. Martinez could be the right man not only to guarantee performance on the field, but also to become a point of reference within the locker room. The Argentine has a vast knowledge that could be decisive in a group like Juventus, often considered lacking in this aspect.
However, signing Martinez will not be simple. The goalkeeper has a high salary, has just won the Europa League with Aston Villa and will also be able to participate in the Champions League next season. Furthermore, the English club has no intention of selling him at any price and could demand a very significant amount for his transfer. Juventus' hope is not to waste too much time and quickly understand the real viability of the operation.
One of the alternatives to Martinez is Vicario. However, Tottenham's current goalkeeper will not necessarily guarantee the improvement Juventus are looking for between the sticks. The transition from Di Gregorio to Vicario may not represent such a significant advance.
The difficulties in Juventus' market management are also reflected in the issue of Vlahovic's renewal. The parties met in the spring, the Bianconero club presented its proposal and subsequently entered a phase of impasse. Today, with just 28 days left until DV9's contract ends, it is unclear what the future of the Serbian striker will be. However, Juventus appears willing to meet again with Vlahovic and his father this week, with the aim of definitively understanding which direction the negotiations will take. Comolli would be ready to impose a real ultimatum on the player: either he stays or he leaves. Vlahovic is fully aware of Juventus' offer and knows that it is unlikely that this proposal will be improved. Therefore, it is up to you to decide whether you want to stay in Turin and accept the club's conditions or whether you prefer to look for a new adventure. At the moment, the Serbian has not yet signed with any other club, but he is carefully analyzing the opportunities available on the market. When he reaches the end of his contract, he will, in fact, be able to secure a very lucrative contract with another club. Therefore, it will be Vlahovic who will decide his future, although the feelings regarding a possible renewal with Juventus are not particularly positive. If so, it would be yet another management error, as the board would be forced to look for up to two high-level strikers. Taking into account the precedents and the difficulties encountered in the last transfer windows, a situation of this type could generate even more tensions in an environment already worn out by complicated seasons and results far below expectations.
