In Portugal, attention is growing around the future of Morten Hjulmand. According to the newspaper A Bola, the midfielder and captain of Sporting CP is once again at the center of the movements of the current transfer window, after the strong approach of Juventus last year.
According to the same source, Hjulmand and his agent, in recent contacts with the Leonine board, conveyed their intention to listen to proposals as long as they meet the club's demands. The Danish international's contract includes a release clause of 80 million euros, but there is a feeling that the departure could be made for a lower amount, in the region of 50 million.
In this scenario comes Milan, who, despite not yet having a defined sporting director, have already made it known that they are interested in the player — through coach Rúben Amorim. However, the Rossoneri will have to face strong competition from the Premier League: Arsenal and Manchester City are also keeping an eye on the midfielder, with a higher investment margin.
Atlético de Madrid's interest seems to have cooled, and Hjulmand himself would look more favorably on a move to Serie A or the Premier League to the detriment of La Liga.
