Former Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale has shared his opinion on why Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is a successful manager at top clubs. In addition to Real Madrid, Ancelotti has coached teams such as Milan, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
"Carlo is simply an excellent coach. He understands the psychology and pressure that players face. He builds relationships with players so that they feel like he really cares about them. Sometimes footballers are not in form, but Carlo knows how to support and motivate them. At a club as big as Real Madrid, there is no need to truly coach. You need to manage the players' egos. That's why he is so successful at the biggest clubs," Bale said in a statement to The Athletic.
