Florentino Pérez will present this Wednesday, at 7pm, at the Meliá Castilla hotel, his project for the elections for the presidency of Real Madrid, which, if official confirmation is lacking, should take place on June 7th at the club's facilities in Valdebebas. The current acting president of the club, in office since 2009 after a previous stint from 2000 to 2006, will outline the main lines of his candidacy, under the motto 'Lots of history to be made'. Last week, Florentino's candidacy displayed a banner on a building in Praça dos Sagrados Corações, close to the Bernabéu, remembering the seven European Cups won by the club under his leadership, from the 2002 in Glasgow to the 2024 in London. Sporting successes (66 titles) will be one of Florentino's main electoral weapons, which has guided the club to the best phase of its 124-year history. However, the memories of the blank season that has just ended, from the dismissal of Xabi Alonso to his replacement by Álvaro Arbeloa, and the tensions revealed in the dressing room, with the incident between Valverde and Tchouaméni as the most publicized, will be present. The choice of a successor for Arbeloa will be another strong point in Florentino's candidacy, who already has an agreement with José Mourinho for his return to Real Madrid 13 years after his departure. Big names are also expected in the signings chapter, although Florentino and his board trust in the Mbappé-Vinicius-Bellingham trident as the basis of the squad. There will, of course, be important reinforcements in the defensive lines (with the departures of Carvajal and Alaba already confirmed) and in the midfield, considered by those who manage the sporting part as the team's main gap in the last two seasons. Rodri and Enzo Fernández are some of the options under consideration. In addition to sport, some of Florentino's electoral proposals will include the remodeling of the Bernabéu and its ability to generate revenue (despite the problems with the shows, which should be resolved soon), the renewal of the club's corporate model (of which more details are expected this Wednesday) and the recovery of Real Madrid's prestige in European football after the signing of peace with UEFA, following the disagreement regarding the Super League.
