Fiorentina: Ferrari avoids setting goals and reaffirms that the Commisso family does not want to sell

Alessandro Ferrari, general director of Fiorentina, assured this Friday, at the 'Wind3 Media Center' at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park, that the Commisso family “does not want to sell Fiorentina”, emphasizing the continuity of the project and the ambition of returning the club to a prominent role.

"We don't want this season to happen again. The desire and will is to carry out Rocco Commisso's dream: to build a stable and solid Fiorentina. We want to grow, increase value and sustainability", he stated.

Regarding the club's centenary, Ferrari highlighted that “the party belongs to Fiorentina, the fans and the team, not the Commisso family”. He also noted that Catherine Commisso was very impressed by Giancarlo's presence on the day of Rocco's disappearance, adding: "I hope the situation can be resolved. It's a celebration of 100 years, not just the last seven."

Stadium and relationship with the City Hall were also highlighted: "The Commisso family reaffirms the letter of interest. We analyzed phases 1 and 2 in detail and today a note came out from the Chamber: before there was a direct dialogue between public and private, now there is a different path. We want to move forward to find an understanding and close the stadium dossier. Regardless of the process to become a partner with the municipality, we are determined to move forward."

When asked about rumors of a sale, he was adamant: "The Commisso family does not want to sell Fiorentina. With all the investments made, we want to return to being protagonists. Rocco wanted to win and Giuseppe has the same mentality, based on work."

Ferrari also addressed the internal restructuring: "We have already made several changes. The choice of Fabio Paratici is not just to talk about the market, but to define a method and way of working with someone very prepared, applying it here. There will be more changes that will not only concern the sporting area. We want to make Fiorentina grow in terms of international visibility as well."

The leader left a note of self-criticism: "We do it every day, especially in a year like this. It is essential to learn from mistakes so as not to repeat them and find solutions." Regarding the sponsorship, he confirmed: "Fiorentina's sponsor remains. We are trying to make the club more attractive and take the brand to an international level."

At the beginning of the intervention, Ferrari thanked Paolo Vanoli “for what he did”, wishing him “a great future”.
