Bayern München maintained its unbeaten record in the playoffs and won the start of the BBL Finals against Alba Berlin with a score of 102:94. The capital's team resisted for much of the game, but an exceptional performance from Andreas Obst was decisive. The German national team player stood out by scoring 24 of his 33 points (11/18 FG, 6/12 in triples) in the first half of the match. In addition to Obst, Justus Hollatz (14 points) and Oscar da Silva (10 points) also contributed to the victory. For Alba, Norris Agbakoko (21 points), Justin Bean (17 points, 5/7 in triples) and Martin Hermannsson (14 points, 9 assists) were the main highlights. While Bayern enjoyed almost a week's rest, Alba Berlin showed no signs of fatigue after their second playoff game. In the first few minutes, Hermannsson and Bean opened the scoring for the visitors, who led for most of the first quarter. Obst, who was absent due to a virus in June, burst onto the scene with a bang, contributing eight of his team's first ten points. In the second quarter, Obst kept Bayern in the game against a brave Alba team. After a foul committed by Jack Kayil (8 points, 7 rebounds) gave Alba their biggest lead (39:45), Obst responded with four consecutive triples until the break, allowing Bayern to regain the lead for the first time. At the end of the first half, Obst had 24 points, 9/10 in shots, including 5/6 in triples. However, Alba were not intimidated and continued their strong performance in the second half. The third quarter started with brilliant play between Hermannsson and Agbakoko, who dominated the game. After a 7-point lead, Jonas Mattisseck increased the lead to 10 (60:70). Bayern, however, woke up, relying on Vladimir Lucic, who went on a 19:6 run in the quarter, culminating in a 79:76 lead. In the final quarter, Bayern's attack continued to soar, with Justinian Jessup and Xavier Rathan-Mayes increasing the lead to 9 points, before Hermannsson kept Alba in the fight. A triple from Obst, followed by another from Jessup, ensured a double-digit lead for Bayern, who controlled the game until the end.
