Arsenal targets Morgan Rogers: contacts made and auction could reach £80m

Arsenal have Morgan Rogers in their sights to reinforce the attack. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have already established direct contacts with representatives of the 23-year-old Aston Villa striker, in a dossier that promises to shake up the English market.

The race, however, is far from solo. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are also evaluating the possibility of moving forward for Rogers, after a season of affirmation at the highest level under Unai Emery.

Aston Villa should aim for a minimum value of around 80 million pounds, a figure supported by the player's long contract, signed last year and valid until 2031, which puts the Birmingham club in a very strong negotiating position.

Rogers excelled in 2023/24, contributing to Villa's Champions League qualification. His ability to play as a center forward or on the left flank pleases Mikel Arteta, who is looking to add quality and versatility to the Arsenal squad.

The good form of the former Manchester City and Middlesbrough player also brought him closer to the English team, with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, further increasing the interest around his name.
